Victor Borge (OBM) used to bill himself as an "unmelancholy Dane," a description that modestly understates the laughter and joy this pianist - turned comedian has brought to millions around the world.

When I found Oleg's (MGBH) performance videos on such shows as Ukraine’s Got Talent, The Minute of Fame, and Britain's Got Talent, I experienced mixed feelings. 

She instinctively knows how to touch the audience with her delicate, sophisticated, yet powerful manner of performing some of the most technically complex classical pieces.

He plays piano with utmost passion and excitement, and his smile is contagious to anyone who catches it.  Brandon Goldberg (MGBH), an 11-year-old Floridian, has conquered the hearts of many, including mine.

When being auditioned for the role of Cosbe McMoon - an accompanist for Meryl Streep's (MGBH) character, Simon Helberg (MGBH), who used to pursue the piano until he was 16, got blunt with the director Stephen Frears (MGBH), “You could easily find a better piano player who could maybe do a little bit of acting, but you won’t find an actor who’s a better piano player and more right for this part than me.” He got the part.

In the early nineties, Martin T:son Engstroem (MGBH) had an ambitious idea to create a summer festival in the heart of the Swiss Alps, far from the major cities where most festivals take place.

Motivation, from the Latin "movere" meaning to move, is the fuel that starts, stops, directs, and sustains human behavior. It creates a desire to persist beyond the boundaries of comfort, to overcome obstacles, and to achieve beyond our own, and others’, highest expectations.

Once upon a time, a a highly-talented musician, Ignaz Bosendorfer (OBM) had the fundamental vision to build a piano that would not only deeply satisfy the performer on a mechanical level, but would also inspire the audience with an exhilarating listening experience.

Bolshoi Theater strikes us with its opulence and grandeur.  Today, with the help of the most professional teams in the world involved in its renovation, it looks more solid than ever, but its history is comprised of a serious of unfortunate events paired with perseverance to preserve this national monument that became a hallmark of Russian cultural life.
